Wayland's School of Education
The School of Education seeks students who aspire to a career in elementary and secondary education, and who share a common commitment to teaching, Christian values, and scholarship. The School emphasizes field-based learning and features state-of-the-art learning facilities.
The School of Education offers programs leading to Provisional Certification in Early Childhood (Pre K-6), Elementary Certification (1-8), Secondary Certification (6-12), All-Level Certification in Music (1-12), and All-Level Certification in Physical Education (K-12).
Wayland Baptist University's professional licensure programs are designed to meet the education and/or licensure requirements in the state of Texas. The university has not determined whether these programs meet the requirements in other U.S. states or territories. Students seeking licensure outside of Texas should consult the appropriate licensing board in their state before enrolling.
